Non-Immigrant O — Retirement (Age 50+)

Foreign nationals aged 50 or over who wish to retire in Thailand and will not work.

The Non-O grants an initial 90 days, after which a one-year extension is filed in Thailand. — Renewed annually on retirement grounds.

Aged 50 or over on the date of the extension application · THB 800,000 in a Thai bank account in your own name, seasoned for the periods required before and after approval, or monthly income/pension of THB 65,000, or a combination totalling THB 800,000 per year · Bank letter confirming the balance plus an updated passbook · Form TM.7 with photographs and passport copies · A Thai address supported by the TM30 filing

Apply for the Non-O abroad through e-Visa, or change category in Thailand if eligible → Open a Thai bank account and season the funds for the required period → File TM.7 at your local immigration office before your stay expires → Obtain a re-entry permit before travelling abroad and keep up 90-day reporting

Renewed each year; the balance must also be maintained after approval, not only on the filing date.

Withdrawing the funds after approval, breaching the condition for the next renewal · Using a joint account — the account must be in the applicant's sole name · Leaving Thailand without a re-entry permit, which cancels the permission to stay · Missing 90-day reports, which are separate from the annual extension
